About the team: The eBay North America Operations team is seeking a driven, action-oriented, and a strategic minded individual to take on the role of Operations Intern. This role sits at the center of the North American business and requires a “business athlete” – able to think strategically, tell “the story” of the business, work effectively cross-functionally, and at the same time ensure the organization is operating with focus and rigor. This candidate will focus on two key areas within the E2E process to drive efficiency and improved user experience. First, they will review all external authentication partner processes and provide optimization recommendations. This may include conveyance and AI. Secondly, they will work on optimization of both shipping legs, the inbound (Seller to Authentication Partner) and outbound (Authentication Partner to buyer). By focusing on these two critical areas we are looking to improve the complete E2E buyer experience. You are: Analytical, industrial engineering / supply chain focused Understanding of process improvement techniques Open, transparent, and direct in your communications with outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively At home in a start-up paced environment, with a proven ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines Able to navigate through ambiguity by providing clarity and directions Patient, with a good understanding of how to work with different types of people Key Competencies: Effective supply chain/logistics management skills Ability to process complicated and diverse sets of information in order to provide summary-level insights and recommendations Confidence and willingness to take ownership over projects Great organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills Demonstrates excellence in everyday execution Creative and thrives in a fast-paced environment Requirements: Currently enrolled in an accredited MBA program within the United States graduating after December 2021 as a MBA student with 3-5 years of relevant work experience 0-2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics or business operations eBay Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
