Evaluated Pricing Operations Team Lead:

Refinitiv provides evaluated pricing on over 2.7 million fixed income instruments and derivatives per day, which are used by asset managers, custodian banks, investment banks, and third-party vendors.

The Team Leader (TL) of Refinitiv's Evaluated Pricing Operations (EPO) in Costa Rica is responsible for the overall success of Department's content, Customer Service and production processes.

The TL is responsible for the management of a Costa Rica based evaluation team who resolve fair value of fixed income securities. The TL will work with asset class leaders to ensure that all production requirements are met.

This role demands an understanding of fixed income and derivative products and passion for the capital markets. The TL is encouraged to have sophisticated analytical skills and a strong understanding of fixed income mathematics.

Responsibilities:

Evaluations:

  • Develop deep and positive relationships with asset class leaders, mainly located in New York

  • Provide mentorship on pricing matters to team members

  • Ensure that the team follows Refinitiv’s methodologies and controls

  • Train new team members on the basics of fixed income

  • Perform pricing duties on a small portfolio of bonds

  • Leadership:

  • Communicate vision and encourage the team to push their own boundaries

  • Establish goals to guide team members to provide outstanding content and a phenomenal customer experience

  • Develop expertise within the team

  • Coordinate tasks and allocate resources accordingly

  • Drive business process improvement within the team

  • Build, track and analyze key performance indicators

  • Live the company’s values, i.e. bold, focused and open

  • Requirements:

  • Passion for capital markets

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics or Industrial Engineering

  • 2-4 years of experience leading teams in a high-paced environment

  • Knowledge of fixed income and derivative products

  • Excellent communication, writing and training skills

  • Ability to work with and analyze large amounts of data

  • Proficient in English

  • Desired Skills:

  • Analytical / mathematical skills

  • Programming knowledge (VBA, Python, SQL or similar)
