JOB TITLE: Manager, Internal Demand Management

Department: Global Procurement

REPORTS TO: Senior Manager, Planning & Programs

The Global Procurement organization manages and optimizes the third party spend of Thomson Reuters. Our mission is to partner with our stakeholders to acquire the right goods and services at best value and within an acceptable risk perimeter in order to drive our corporate objectives. In order to achieve our mission, we integrate and manage a highly complex network of products, services, processes, technologies and suppliers across all Thomson Reuters locations worldwide.

The Planning & Programs team contributes to global procurement Savings and Demand Management Program, analytics, process excellence, transformation, PMO, Supplier Diversity & Sustainability Program, user experience and engagement.

ROLES

The Internal Demand Manager conducts Global Procurement’s process of demand management and analytics as well as:

  • Manage and contribute to the implementation of best-in-class internal demand management processes.
  • Contribute to the success of the internal Global Procurement Savings Program.
  • OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

  • Manage the demand of internal customer sourcing needs using a systematic demand management approach, as well as process optimization in order to obtain the best value out of third party spend.
  • Guide internal business stakeholders and challenge them to reduce unqualified, non-value-added demand requirements.
  • Develop and maintain business analytics for savings generated out of the Demand Management Program.
  • Support the Savings and Analytics Program by identifying any non-compliant spend based on the demand management policy. Identify and track savings achieved by eliminating unqualified and/or unapproved demand.
  • Prepare and deliver senior management level reporting, documentation and presentations.
  • Manage procurement processes, methodologies, standards and policies. Follow the savings methodology in place to validate all sustainable reductions in Thomson Reuters cost base and produce trusted results for all business units.
  • SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree Required. Engineering or Business preferred.
  • Previous experience in sourcing & procurement environments, demand & production planning, financial planning & analysis, forecasting, or similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to successfully influence the main stakeholders at all levels of the organization for the accomplishment of business goals.
  • Strong Analytics and/or Data science skills.
  • Able to address stakeholders’ issues effectively and make decisions both timely and diplomatically.
  • Strong reporting skills, with a robust command of MS Excel. Power BI command is desirable.
  • Financial Budgeting skills, highly desirable.
  • A robust business acumen, preferably within Global Procurement/Sourcing and/or Finance organizations.
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly motivated and ambitious to deliver value to internal customers and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working cross culturally, willing to adapt to different time-zones when needed.
  • Fully Bilingual. Fluent written and oral communication in English.
