The Opportunity

Reporting to the Tax Provision Senior Manager, this position will work collaboratively with other members of the tax team as well as Adobe’s finance teams.

What you will be doing

  • Manage the preparation of the quarterly and annual tax provision under ASC 740, including:

    Current and deferred tax provision calculations

    Tax account rollforwards and reconciliations

    ASC 718 Tax Calculation

    Uncertain tax positions

    Tax footnotes and disclosures for quarterly and annual SEC filings

  • Actively partner across the organization to stay current with business developments and help identify, assess, and communicate tax implications

  • Monitor tax accounting rules, SEC reporting pronouncements and federal and state income tax laws to proactively identify issues and propose resolutions

  • Build tax models to evaluate and project tax rate implications for planning initiatives and legislative updates

  • Provide support for mergers and acquisitions, audit settlements, and other unique transactions

  • Drive automation initiatives to increase the efficiency of the tax accounting process

  • Mentor and train staff

  • Prepare and review technical memos and ensure clear and thorough documentation

  • Work closely with external auditors to resolve issues and ensure timely sign-off

  • What you need to succeed

  • 7+ years of tax experience at a Big 4 accounting firm and/or public multinational company

  • Strong tax accounting knowledge and ability to research and conclude on tax issues

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work collaborativelyand lead projects with other teams

  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional multitasking ability, upbeat demeanor, and ability to stay organized and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staff

  • Experience with Tableau, SAP, Alteryx, and/or OneSource is a plus
