We are presently seeking a senior level IT Engineer with mysql maintenance expertise.

We are an all Linux ( CentOS/RedHat ) production environment. Our office is located in Santa Ana ( Forum 1 ).

Your role will include server setup and maintenance, backups, scripting automation, network monitoring (nagios, cacti), mysql (setup, optimization, and replication) and responding to user requests.

Other technologies we use include map-r (like Hadoop), Tableau, and Datameer. This is also an opportunity to gain big data analytics experience with high-end tools.

The ideal candidate will have a deep background in 24/7 environment for high traffic website(s).


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent knowledge and experience;
  • Technical certifications are a plus – Cisco, other relevant certs;
  • Experience and knowledge of Linux, apache, ssl, mysql, bash, perl, php
  • Ability to setup and maintain mysql replication
  • Excellent troubleshooting and general analytical skills;
  • Strong knowledge of public and private clouds a plus, eg amazon EC2.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Outgoing and friendly – You will wear many hats… one day you may be implementing a major technology project, and the next day you may be resetting a password. Customer service is a key value for us and important to our culture.
  • Understanding of source control systems and how to use them (SVN, GIT)
