 CM&S team provides computational modeling & simulation (CM&S) services to project teams within Boston Scientific. In this role, the candidate will support the development of a wide variety of medical devices throughout the product life cycle by performing finite element analysis (FEA) primarily on structural mechanics problems. 

Job requirements:

•BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related field. •Hands-on experience with FEA software such as ABAQUS, ANSYS, or COMSOL. •Familiarity with SolidWorks, HyperMesh, Matlab, or Python is a plus. •Fluent in English (advanced level in speaking, reading, and writing). •Details-oriented, proactive, innovative person with strong interpersonal and communication skills. •Experience with the following is desired: •Solving structural mechanics problems involving contact, geometric nonlinearity, plasticity and hyper-elasticity •Modeling Nitinol super-elasticity •Meshing models with complex geometry •Verification & validation of computational models •Fatigue and failure analysis •Computer skills in both Windows and Linux. •Strong analytical/problem-solving skills. •Technical writing skills to capture FEA work and produce high quality reports. •Ability to work effectively both in a team setting and independently. •Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. •Ability to communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds, including formal presentations. •A willingness to learn and adopt new methodologies, tools, and skills, and accept new challenges and responsibilities.
