What Manufacturing Planning contributes to Cardinal Health

Manufacturing Planning is responsible for the forecasting, planning and scheduling of manufacturing resources, including equipment and labor resources to efficiently achieve manufacturing goals as defined by internal and external customer expectations. Responsible for distribution of finished goods. Addresses conflicts and constraints in manufacturing to achieve highest level of customer satisfaction.

Accountabilities

  • Develops and maintains the capacity statement.
  • Responsible for leading the Site Service Review process, and escalating to Corporate S&OP.
  • Plans and controls the supply chain to meet and exceed KPIs relating to customer service, inventory levels and forecast variance.
  • Responsible for collaborating with manufacturing sites, developing projections of inventory, service and recovering during periods of supply disruptions.
  • Facilitate communication between Global and Regional Supply Chain groups and shared services.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years relevant experience.
  • APICS and/or CPM certification preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English skills; advanced in written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Computer Based Purchasing Systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of MRP systems is a must.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
