Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities 

● Solve difficult analytical problems using SQL, C#, C++ or similar technologies

● Develop new ETL processes and integrate them into our existing infrastructure

● Improve and maintain existing ETL processes and services

● Evaluate technical tradeoffs of every decision and work with design on the best data flow and infrastructure practices

● Improve our code quality with tests, automation, and code reviews

● Work cross-functionally with other members of the technology team

Candidate Profile 

  • 5+ years of professional fixed income experience
  • ● 5+ years of professional data engineering experience
  • ● BS/BA, Master’s or PhD in a technical field such as Computer Science or Mathematics (or equivalent years of experience)
  • ● Strong understanding of MBS fixed income products ● Experience with distributed computing principals
  • ● A solid foundation of SQL, .NET and proper data flow practices
  • ● Experience shipping and integrating new processes into an existing framework ● Experience architecting and building enterprise level data warehouses
  • ● A solid foundation in computer science including algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
  • ● Strong skills developing and debugging SQL
  • ● Experience with common software development tools and processes
  • ● Experience working with cloud platforms
