About the role
Boston Scientific Information Technology is looking for an experienced Hyperion – Finance Sr Analyst/Tech Lead to support BSC’s Financial Consolidations, Planning and Reporting team. In this role you will participate on and act as a leader for global Hyperion platform, maintaining high standards to support existing environment, implementing new functionalities and helping to build key capabilities. Initiates, designs and manages the complete user-centered design cycle (user research, user modeling, user needs assessment, design, testing, developer relations) for the Hyperion Planning/Essbase, DRM, DRG and ODI projects, including approaches, trends, sources and uses of data that have a significant impact on individual or multiple departments. Support the Planning/Budgeting and Financial Close consolidation processes for the Oracle EPM environment. Strong knowledge of other financial modules such as S4 and experience of integrating data between different EPM environments. At least three full lifecycle engagements of Planning and Budgeting applications and implementation of Hyperion Applications and its integration with other financial application. Act as a Hyperion product leader and design and deliver innovative, creative solutions for the Hyperion platform. The role will support finance organization and create a trusted source of financial information for internal and external reporting. Develop expertise in finance space and Hyperion technology solutions in order to lead. Continue to leverage technology systems to support the company’s success and overall goals. This individual should be highly motivated with functional and technical expertise, as well as excellent analysis and execution skills. Ability to lead and develop strategic roadmaps, hi-level requirements and understanding of the business process workflow, identify new technologies to improve the customer experience. Responsible for identifying and improving performance improvements, process improvements and team velocity of deliverables. Track progress to ensure achievement of all milestones and deliverables while managing risks and issues.
Your Responsibilities In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in developing complex calculations using Calc Scripts, Business Rules/Calculation Manager, load rules, report scripts and other Essbase/Planning calculation features. Experience configuring Essbase/Planning, application components & artifacts customization, and application optimization settings. Must have experience moving data between Hyperion Modules (E.g. Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Financial Management) Financial report experience - Build/ Enhance/Troubleshoot Hyperion Financial Reports and Web Analysis as needed Solid knowledge/hands on experience of HFM and FDMEE, specifically Knowledge of SAP, Anaplan other ERP tools Rule enhancements & development experience Edit and/or write Forms/Grids Set-up, manage and troubleshoot FDMEE mappings & processes Experience with supporting technologies including SQL, relational databases, OLAP, ODI and DRM. Provide support and execute internal audit and Sox requirements. Support, process and manage data load process through FDMEE to Planning and HFM. Experience with data conversion and loading source data into Hyperion. Supporting the Troubleshooting of issues within the overnight load processes and diagnose issues. Extensive experience with Smartview, Data forms, and Web Forms; Ability to analyze & diagnose data issues and fix. Demonstrated knowledge of both Native & Shared Services security and Task Lists. Manage time efficiently with the capacity to handle multiple tasks concurrently. Ability to create, update, and review functional and technical documents. Ability to develop test data, test scripts and execute comprehensive testing of integrated systems. Incorporate Agile, Lean, and User Centered Design methodologies to execute on product development, implementation and operations. Defines product vision, strategy, and roadmap, business model, MVP. Manage product interconnectivity and system integrations, disease states; capable of learning rapidly to fill any knowledge gaps Maintains and continuously upgrades her/his knowledge of Hyperion and Oracle technologies, finance, external competitive landscape, Audits/Sox etc.
What we're looking for:
Basic Qualifications 5+ years of experience developing, supporting and maintaining Hyperion applications. 3+ years of experience with Financial Reporting (HFR), Web Analysis and/or other reporting tools and data integration tools (ODI, OBIEE etc.). Bachelor's degree in related field. Extensive experience in business process & system analysis role and managing large IT projects. Strong Finance acumen with understanding of Project Reporting will be a plus. Extensive Hyperion admin & project experience Experience partnering with IT, Vendor and/or Business Customers on projects. Experience working in an agile team. Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic and fast learner. Proven ability to navigate organizational network to get to the right person. Being imaginative & having high creative quotient. Creative thinker to look for continued ways to utilize and optimize capabilities of the system. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative, matrix environment, with a track record of accomplishments with measurable business impact. Experience working in a regulated industry. Experience shipping both new products as well as improving upon existing ones. Understanding of SOX and other Management Controls.
Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in related field. Experience working on large scale projects. Experience in Product Teams, Agile and SCRUM methodologies. Experience working on solutions in a controlled environment. Understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies. Past experience in Finance and Audit-Sox space.
