The upcoming Four Seasons El Tamarindo Resort in Jalisco, Mexico rests on 2,100 acres of a protected eco reserve on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. The resort sprawls across an enchanting natural preserve and is embellished by the emerald-colored pacific coast. With 155 rooms and 25 residential units, Four Seasons El Tamarindo is proudly committed to ecological preservation and environmental responsibility.

Master Your Craft:
The Engineering Manager is responsible to assist in the hiring, training, supervision, scheduling, counseling, and evaluation of performance and planning the activities of maintenance staff including making spot checks on a daily basis.
Desired Skills and Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related position with Four Seasons or other similar company. University degree with a Major in Engineering or equivalent experience. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. Excellent bi-lingual written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports, effective presentations and to facilitate meetings. Background experience with Power generators, Medium and Low voltages installations, Steam and hot water systems, hydraulics, Laundry, HVAC and Kitchen Equipment, Fire Alarm and Security systems, ELV, UPS, pools, finishing, facilities management. Ensure proper execution of work order/request system and those items are followed up on when necessary. Prepare requisitions for purchase and work orders and liaise effectively with the Director of Purchasing. The ability to ensure effective communication and good relations between the engineering department and other departments in the Resort. Implement preventive maintenance schedules, policies, and rules to ensure an efficient department. The ability to handle the purchasing of equipment replacement parts and repairs. This includes contacting vendors for best prices, writing purchase orders, receiving goods, and completing projects. Maintain logs on movement of stock items and tools and monitor distribution of items. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. Ensure the management of the Utilities (Water, Electricity, Gas), controlling, analyzing, and reviewing the operation for efficient use of energy and water consumption. Ensure all areas of the hotel are inspected on a regular basis. Assume the duties of the Director of Engineering in his/her absence. Must be able to provide high levels of service and support the operation of the Resort. Willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote teamwork. This may include some evenings, weekends, and holidays. Some travel may be required. This position requires an enthusiastic, passionate, dynamic, and self-motivated individual who is able to deliver ever-improving results, achieving goals and objectives even when facing resistance, obstacles or difficulties. Demonstrate adaptability to live in a remote location. Pre-opening experience is a plus!
