Job Description:

As a member of the Cloudera Business Applications team, the Business Intelligence analyst will be responsible for the development, creation, distribution, and interpretation of BI reports & dashboards utilizing Tableau, Qlikview, Netsuite, Salesforce, and OpenAir systems. The ideal candidate should be proactive in providing BI process solutions and able to think outside-the-box. In-depth knowledge and hands on experience working with large amounts of complex data from various sources utilizing data warehousing techniques and BI tools is essential to be successful in this role. 

Primary Responsibilities

Design, build and deploy short term and long-term BI solutions using Tableau. Provide ongoing support for these applications

Partner with Cloudera internal Integrations and Data Science teams to extract data, transform and load into Cloudera Enterprise data hub

Develop custom SQL views, Tableau workbooks and publish BI applications

Responsible for streamlining and bringing efficiencies in the finance monthly reporting process

Maintain documentation and train end users on BI applications

Provide technical assistance to users and monitor performance of BI systems

Document BI application dataflow, data schema and ETL processes

Convert existing QlikView applications to Tableau

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, MIS and/or related work experience

3 to 5 years overall experience in a Systems Analyst role

3 years of experience in a Business Intelligence analyst or developer role

Must have a minimum of 1-year solid hands on experience developing BI reports in Tableau

Strong hands on experience in writing SQL queries

Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining

Hands on experience utilizing ODBC to extract Netsuite data into BI systems is strongly desired

Experience with ERP/CRM systems such as Netsuite, Salesforce, OpenAir is a plus

In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework

Experience using GSuite is a plus

Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities with competing priorities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
