Purpose

In this role you will support the growth of the Costa Rica Global Delivery Center and provide day-to-day operational and strategic leadership of the learning and development function. The L&D Coordinator/Trainer’s primary responsibility will be developing employees at all levels in the Costa Rica GDC to improve the knowledge, skills and behaviors that are needed to drive business growth and realize organizational goals. 
Reporting to the Global L&D Manager, the role holder will be a key member of both the Costa Rica GDC and the global learning & development team within the GDC organization globally.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Education, or Related field

Training/Professional Certification 

Not required

Experience

• 2 to 3 years of proven operational support experience in similar positions.
• Experience in delivering training sessions and learning & development activities.
• Experience working across geographies and time zones.
• Experience in management of LMS.

Key Accountabilities


• Support in the creation of a training vision, strategy and operating model, which is aligned to the needs of the Costa Rica GDC.
• Support the local HR Manager and Business Managers in driving a high performance culture.
• Identify training and development needs within the GDC through quarterly training needs analysis, and through frequent consultation with GDC management. 
• Design, develop, and coordinate GDC training interventions (not related to account technical / business assurance specifics trainings) using a range of delivery methods (virtual & classroom sessions, e-learnings, demos, on-the-job coaching / mentoring, meetings, and workshops) and in line with individual and organizational learning plans. 
• Support the development of training materials for in-house classroom and e-learning courses as required.
• Support the Global Hubs Training Program.
• Foster close relationships with Fujitsu Distinguished Engineers and Tech Talents by coordinating meetings between them and your Local GDC Management.
• Actively promote the use of the GDC e-learning platform (“SABA / Percipio ”) ensuring high employee uptake of courses.
• Manage course enrolment, registration and attendance for all classroom based courses through the SABA LMS.
• Supervision of the measurement and tracking of all compliance trainings and SABA inputs.
• Conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for all new hires, ensuring they can be deployed at the right time and with the appropriate level of knowledge and skill.
• Follow-up on training activities (not related to account technical / business assurance specifics trainings) within the GDC to ensure high standards of design and delivery are met, and attendance is properly tracked and recorded. 
• Train instructors in the skills and techniques of training delivery (TTT).
• Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of all training interventions, providing recommendations for improvement. 
• Amend and revise training interventions as necessary to adapt to feedback and changes in the business or work environment, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
• Keep up to date on developments in the training industry and benchmark the function internally (with other GDCs) and externally to ensure the use of global best practices. 
• Initiate relationships and partnerships with industry associations, external training providers and academic institutions. 
• Coordinate the contracting and delivery process with external providers (where necessary).
• Ensure all Global Compliance Training requirements are met.
• Proactively engage with staff, demonstrating a commitment to people leadership, engagement, communication and talent development.
• Knowledge and understanding of the IMS.Should we keep it?
• Understanding of Fujitsu and culture, and be empathetic to the varied challenges and requirements of leaders/Coordinators throughout the business.
• Provide the learning activities towards the biggest segments of employees in GDC.
• Tracking of training budget and ensure the invoices are paid on time.
• Accurate reporting and data analysis. Participation in MI & Service Reviews meetings.
• Support Employee Engagement & Enablement and actions.
• Promote and market L&D as a function in GDC.
