In this role you will be responsible for design, development, implementation, and support of global unified communications systems and act as a technical lead for those systems. This role is the first level of escalation for fellow engineers. This position is critical to Internal Operations and consists of working on Cisco Unified Communications infrastructure, Cisco Contact Enterprise, Enghouse CIM & Cisco Finesse, Gateways, and endpoints.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in all phases of Cisco Unified Communications and Contact Center projects including requirements, design, development, implementation, and support in a large-scale multi-site environment
•Create and maintain engineering documentation including UC environment, project related documentation and technical notes (How To’s)
•Work on enterprise telephony infrastructure (including Cisco UCM, CUC, Zoom, UCCE, CIM, Finesse, and gateways including CUBE and TDM Gateway's)
•Provide third level escalation support in troubleshooting Cisco UCM, UC, and UCCE call routing and voice related issues
•Strong support for Cisco voice gateway troubleshooting and debugging
•Support the deployment of voice, video, and related services to offices of various sizes
•Perform timely vulnerability and bug reviews and remediation by executing patches and upgrades of existing infrastructure UC and Collaboration Infrastructure (hardware and software)
•Participate in change and release windows as necessary for maintenance and upgrade purposes
•Demonstrate a proactive approach and identify opportunities to improve the services provided by the UC infrastructure.

Job Requirements:

• 8 years of experience supporting Cisco UCM, Unity connection, and Expressway
• 8 years of experience in extensive troubleshooting of Cisco UCM, Unity Connections, and WebEx call routing and voice related issues
• Strong experience working with Cisco TAC, and leveraging various Cisco online and troubleshooting tools (DSP calculator, RTMT, CUCM traces)
• Strong experience supporting of H323, SCCP, SIP, TFTP, DHCP, TCP/IP, HSRP, HDLC, EIGRP protocols
• Strong experience supporting Cisco Voice Gateways including 3900, 4400, VG224, VG310
• Strong experience in understanding and troubleshooting Cisco IOS & IOS-XE
• Working experience in troubleshooting of SIP
• Experience and understanding of QoS/CoS
• experience leading projects, PMP Certification desired
• Experience with ITIL methodologies, ITIL certification desired
• Experience training junior team members
• Strong communication skills
• Experience supporting multi-site Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise implementations desired
• Experience in troubleshooting of UCCE call routing and voice related issues desired
• Experience in UCaaS and Cloud based voice deployments desired
• Experience with Cisco Routing and Switching desired
• Experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems desired"
