The Challenge

Are you passionate about delivering engaging digital experiences on one of the world’s most visited websites? Adobe’s Global Marketing Organization crafts extraordinary marketing experiences through Adobe.com and delivers digital events during a period when companies are transitioning away from traditional in person events and conferences. We are seeking a technically-minded Product Manager with a deep curiosity for problem solving to join and help build and improve the events platform that power Adobe’s marquee digital event experiences.

The ideal candidate will establish and optimize Adobe.com’s Events Platform as a complete end-to-end offering for delivering virtual events, and in the future, hybrid events. The key objectives will include launching new improvements of the product; researching, analyzing and planning the roadmap with partners in Marketing, Sales, Design, Engineering and Support; and finally driving implementation across our events ecosystem.

There will be a special focus area on 3rd-party technologies, working closely with partners to understand and tackle use cases and requirements, and collaborate with the Engineering partners to implement the solutions.

What you'll do

  • Define the business strategy, use cases, and technical requirements, including the 3rd-party solutions such as Live and On-Demand video streaming, Chat, Networking, and other areas of interactivity.
  • Provide domain expertise and work with internal teams to brainstorm, evaluate and implement enhancements and new capabilities.
  • Drive ongoing discussions with 3rd-party solution partners, including leading custom development efforts and influencing their product roadmaps.
  • Own the research, evaluation and selection of new 3rd-party solutions, implementing Proof-of-Concepts (PoC) as needed.
  • Create and communicate marketing architecture diagrams and roadmaps to both business and technical audiences.
  • Ensure the set up and production of all of our virtual and future hybrid events are ready for the show to deliver high quality user experience.
  • Establish performance metrics and drive testing with technology teams, including proactively resolve cross-system dependencies in order to mitigate risk and ensure scale and reliability of the platform.
  • Use findings from completed past events and research or partners to identify the best path for technology decisions.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, and provide recommendations on emerging technology trends that will further optimize user experience, and improve data integrations and operational efficiencies.

  • Ability to transform requirements into functional and technical specs for engineering and delivery teams to implement.
  • Understanding of digital events technologies (such as Rainfocus, Intellum, On24, or similar), video production & streaming, digital marketing technologies, and analytics.
  • Experience with front-end development (Javascript/HTML/CSS) and integrating 3rd-party marketing tech solutions, with a keen understanding of front-, back-end, and data integrations using APIs.
  • Be able to review implementation guides, understand API document, and implement Proof-of-Concepts.
  • Strong communicator of ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing.
  • Results oriented, attention to detail and follow-through, ability to build cross functional relationships and work multi-functionally, with a good mix of IQ and EQ.
  • Interested in new knowledge and enjoy learning about industry and technology trends.
  • BA/BS degree in a technical field (CS, EE, or similar). MS or MBA a plus. 5 to 8 years of product management experience, some of which is digital marketing related.
