TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.
What your background should look like:
As a Program Manager within the Costa Rica PMO you will be responsible for the management of a program which may comprise multiple individual projects or a single large-scale project. The Program Manager will be accountable for the overall management and leadership of the program to a successful conclusion, ensuring that each program meets its performance targets in terms of Opex, Capex and Timeline. Within the Costa Rica PMO the program managers role will be primarily focused on management of product transfers from sister sites into the Costa Rica manufacturing site. However, projects may also include New Product Introduction, Sustaining Engineering projects or other general projects which require project management leadership.
The Project Manager will direct cross-functional project team members and is fully accountable to the Site PMO leader, Senior Management team & Project Steering Committee for his / her projects.
Act as the “General Manager” for the program/project to ensure that design requirements and contractual obligations for TE are met.
Execute the project plan to meet milestones, timelines, KPIs and adherence to the Project Charter. Identify and proactively overcome barriers and roadblocks.
Completion. Ensure finalization of all activities across the project team and Stakeholders to formally close the project or phase.
Identify and align Stakeholders to the Project Charter.
Supply regular reporting to senior management on key metrics of the portfolio of projects under his/her management.
Education and Experience:
University Bachelor’s Degree with a scientific or engineering emphasis.
Minimum of five (5) years professional experience in Project Management.
Experience: 7-10 years’ experience in medical device or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Project Management Institute (PMI) certification desirable (CAPM, PMP, or PgMP).
Proven Project Management experience in Product Transfer / Technology transfer /NPI
Excellent interpersonal and communication english skills
