Position Summary

This position performs moderately complex clerical functions pertaining to general accounting and the accounts receivables function.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform collections processes(credit & collections); troubleshooting, follow up open balances in the system and payment discrepancies, matches invoices paid or invoices generated for billing, backup to reconcile AR accounts against corporate grid.
  • Prepare and lead meetings with business units representatives as needed.
  • Guide and review the collections activities during the month.
  • Prepares aging reports , issues and analysis, aging report, cash forecast, etc.
  • Handles month end AR closing activities accurate and in a timely manner.
  • Carries out duties in compliance with policies and procedures
  • Securely maintains and store AR information and department files.
  • Research issues and follow up with customers or internal contacts as required
  • E-Mail and/or distribute invoices in a timely manner.
  • Assists with other general accounting and finance tasks as needed

    • Essential Skills and Experience

  • Ability to prioritize workload and effectively manage multiple deadlines & targets.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical skills (required).
  • Due to access required, must be a US citizen, living in Costa Rica
  • Proven Candidate could have the opportunity to work remotely 95% of the time (18 to 19 of the monthly business days) and for it it must be mature and self manage to be able to work remotely, can be inside or outside GAM.

    • Minimum Education Requirements

  • Advanced English level.
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • High School diploma

    • Other requirements, considered a plus

  • Bachelor degree in business administration or accounting related.
  • Basic proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems such as SAP,ORACLE, BAAN or Syteline.
  • Knowledge of general accounting practices.
  • Understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
  • Proven and demonstrable relevant job experience.
