As part of the Business Development team, you will lead key business aspects of security partnerships. You will be responsible for building and driving partnerships with best-in-class and emerging security companies.

You are passionate about identifying and developing incremental revenue opportunities, from the early formation of creative new integrated solutions (in conjunction with the assigned partnership solution engineers) to launching the solutions, marketing them, and supporting the field teams to close business.

This role will be a primary partnership contact for engaging with our field sales organization, product management, and product marketing within F5 and at the partners.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead in the security area and execute strategies with an emphasis on establishing integrated solution offerings to drive incremental revenue.
  • You will build and execute joint go-to-market plans by collaborating closely with internal colleagues and partners in sales and marketing.
  • Help educate key partner individuals on our product offerings, solutions, and explore integration opportunities.

  • Attributes we're looking for

  • Experience with high-tech business development functions (including strategic alliances, sales, or channel) focused on enterprise customers.
  • Experience handling cybersecurity technologies.
  • Ability to discuss and present F5 product and solution offerings in detail.
  • Wonderful interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to understand sophisticated technologies and multi-faceted projects.
  • Be self-motivated, well organized, focused, efficient, and flexible when faced with changing conditions.
  • Be comfortable and enjoys presenting to sales teams and customers.
  • What we need to see

  • Proven track record to lead sales-focused technology partnerships.
  • BA/BS degree required. MBA preferred.
  • The preferred locations are San Jose and the Bay Area. Remote is a possibility.
  • 12+ Years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
