To support the IT Infrastructure Manager by administrating different infrastructure aspect such as servers building process, active equipment installation (routers/switches), UPS and WAPs installation at the BSC sites. Also responsible to help with the management of the physical infrastructure (wiring). All this in order to make sure active equipment's and servers are installed properly, with the adequate UPS and energy protections in place.

IT Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance (cleaning and monitoring activities) on satellite cabinets and active equipment's, UPS on them.
  • Performs maintenance (cleaning and monitoring activities) on servers in the data center, in coordination with the IT Infrastructure Manager.
  • Performs maintenance (cleaning and monitoring activities) on active equipment's and UPS in the data center, in coordination with the IT Infrastructure Manager.
  • Installs, activates and provides maintenance to Wireless Access Points where required.
  • Installs, replaces and removes switches from satellite cabinets, comm rooms, and data center, when required and in coordination with the IT Infrastructure Manager.
  • Collaborates with Global IT teams in the troubleshooting of diverse issues related to hardware and telecom systems.
  • Administrate and provide maintenance to infrastructure devices in a defined schedule for that purpose, out of business hours.
  • Coordinates with vendors any required configuration change, new implementation, replacement, etc, out of business hours.
  • Coordinates with the IT Infrastructure Manager any new project proposal, budget and timing required.
    • Required Experience /Skills
  • Focused on results.
  • Systems Engineer degree or advanced student in the IT area.
  • At least 2 years experience on similar positions.
  • Skills in technical support.
  • Technical knowledge in servers, storage and backup devices.
