Our Lightroom ecosystem is an industry standard among photographers around the world. In order to take our mobile app to greater heights, we are looking for a software Quality Engineer who can join our small and results oriented Growth team to drive a series of in-product and out-of-product experiments to increase customer acquisition, improve the user onboarding experience, drive user engagement, and boost user retention.

We are looking for an iOS focused Quality Engineer who can follow test procedures set by either the QE Manager or QE Lead(s). Report bugs into a Web based bug tracking database and supervise these bugs until resolved. Provide regular status reports on testing progress. Write and execute manual test cases. Build test files. Assist other team members when called upon. This team is part of a larger collaborative ecosystem, and we are looking for someone that is driven, flexible, self-starter and is a phenomenal teammate.

What is a Growth team?

A fresh addition to our existing Lightroom ecosystem team, our Growth team is comprised of a tight-knit group of technical marketers, QE, developers, analysts, product managers, and product designers working together to solve problems that enable “growth” through a process of experimentation and analysis. In our Growth team, we are constantly exploring potential large-scale, in-app experiments that will ultimately boost Lightroom mobile to even greater heights.

What you’ll do

  • Create/update/maintain test plans, test cases and test files.
  • Perform functional and workflow testing using a variety of testing tools as part of the Lightroom ecosystem on multiple operating systems, devices and other hardware.
  • Analyze workflows and growth test results while identifying areas that can be simplified or made more efficient or elegant.
  • Build and maintain communication with feature teams though tools like Wiki, Slack and JIRA.
  • Interact and work well with customers and participate in user forums.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, designers, analysts, and technical marketers of the Growth team to implement in-product experiments.
  • Participate in an agile software development environment.
  • Help deliver the high-quality engineering software and user experience.
  • What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Relevant College Diploma or at least five years of professional QE experience.
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience with Adobe Target for optimizing digital experiences is a plus.
  • Experience using JIRA, Charles Proxy and analytics tools like Omniture, Localytics or Crashlytics is a plus.
  • Experience with data driven development methodologies and A/B testing techniques is a plus.
  • Experience with testing iOS apps and cross-product workflows.
  • Real passion for building quality applications that customers love.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for Photography. Adobe Lightroom and/or Photography experience is a plus.
