Application Support Engineer - Santa Costa Rica

Role Responsibilities:

  • Act as an innovator, disruptor, and executioner in informing and driving all aspects of our technical strategy.
  • Demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards.
  • Make appropriate product and business tradeoffs and give technology direction that leads to measurable product and business outcomes.
  • Strong emphasis on the customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development
  • Define, design, and implement complex, multitier distributed software systems throughout all phases of the software development process.
  • Thorough code reviews.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers.
  • Be a culture champion on the team and across the company.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related fields with 5+ years of related professional experience.
  • Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Demonstrated experience in C/C++ (General Knowledge), Powershell scripting (for Tanium tasks), and SQL.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance with emerging technology standards.
  • Able to operate at highly varying levels of abstraction from business strategy to product strategy to highlevel technical design to detailed technical design to implementation.
  • Handson experience in building a microservicesbased architecture and platform developed and deployed at scale.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery)
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, iterative development environment, adapt to changing business priorities, and thrive under pressure.
  • Team player with strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry preferred.
