Application Support Engineer - Santa Costa Rica

Role Responsibilities:

Act as an innovator, disruptor, and executioner in informing and driving all aspects of our technical strategy.
Demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards.
Make appropriate product and business tradeoffs and give technology direction that leads to measurable product and business outcomes.
Strong emphasis on the customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development
Define, design, and implement complex, multitier distributed software systems throughout all phases of the software development process.
Thorough code reviews.
Coach and mentor junior engineers.
Be a culture champion on the team and across the company.

Role Requirements:

Bachelor's in Computer Science or related fields with 5+ years of related professional experience.
Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
Demonstrated experience in C/C++ (General Knowledge), Powershell scripting (for Tanium tasks), and SQL.
Demonstrated capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance with emerging technology standards.
Able to operate at highly varying levels of abstraction from business strategy to product strategy to highlevel technical design to detailed technical design to implementation.
Handson experience in building a microservicesbased architecture and platform developed and deployed at scale.
Experience with agile development methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery)
Ability to work in a fastpaced, iterative development environment, adapt to changing business priorities, and thrive under pressure.
Team player with strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Experience in the Financial Services industry preferred.
