Execution of structural analyses and tests to assess, predict, and validate the mechanical interactions that affect the thermal solutions operation in different processor platforms.

• I developed a new method to model the semiconductor packaging construction and coefficient of thermal expansion driven package warpage. Multiple studies were performed to correlate models with experimental results. The new method gave more realistic results and reduced the execution process time by 75%.
• I worked on the heatsink product design and structural analysis that mitigated bending while targeting minimum loading requirements for thermal performance.

FEA Structural Analyst

Execution of structural, dynamic, fatigue, and impact analyses on different parts and components for reciprocating and scroll compressors to detect and correct non-compliances to improve the designs, as attend to customers' requirements concerning analyses or product optimization concerns.

• I executed multiple projects with sound and vibration lab, that allowed us to successfully find and eliminate the root cause for noise and resonance of scroll compressors, through flexible multibody dynamic, transient models.
• I developed a complete procedure, to analytically predict deflections due to dynamic loads on reed valves. The method was documented and training on this was given to other team members.
• I conducted a variety of structural static analyses to predict and eliminate the harmful mechanical interactions, of scroll compressor systems.
• I performed highly nonlinear contact analyses to calculate the loads required to successfully execute different scroll compressor manufacturing stages.

FEA Structural Analyst

Responsible for carrying out structural, thermal, low, and high cycle fatigue analyses on different parts and assemblies of gas turbines, assisted by finite element computer tools, for companies such as Siemens and Pratt & Whitney, under the standard ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems.

• I conducted a full thermo-structural analysis of a fast start compressor rotor for SIEMENS, including all the steps: planning, mesh creation, the definition of boundary conditions, results, documentation, and presentation.

Engineering & Scientific Services. S.A, August 2007 – August 2011.

Mechanical Designer & FEA Structural Analyst.

In charge of the management and execution of design and analysis projects for single elements and mechanical systems.

• I simulated the complete belling and rubber seal insertion process for PVC pipes, using the finite element method, to evaluate the compliance of the requirements before manufacturing the part.
• I conducted a simulation of the pressure distribution generated by a truck going at different speeds and its effect on a biker on the side of the road, as part of the legal proof process.
• I evaluated through simulation the effect that a structural modification has on the integrity and safety of a steel silo at HOLCIM before it was done.
• I executed the project planning, prediction, and assessment of the required vibratory validation lab tests for fuel tanks made of composite material (titanium and carbon fiber) developed to feed the engines of the Alpha Bus telecommunications satellite. The satellite was successfully launched in 2013. This project was done for the German Company MT Aerospace.
