  • Advise corporations and provide comprehensive labor and corporate support services.
  • Establish labor lawsuits and their respective judicial proceedings.
  • Coordinate all types of negotiation processes and due diligence, draft reports, purchase and sale documents, and final agreements.

Corporate Counsel and Public Notary                                 Desert Development Company

JULY 2015 – JULY 2021

  • Maintained a PoA with a limit of USD $300,000.00 and executed contracts on behalf of the company up to that PoA limit.
  • Interviewed plaintiffs, whistleblowers, witnesses, and employees while conducting workplace investigations (i.e., sexual harassment, misconduct, discrimination, sexually explicit or otherwise offensive materials, retaliation, family-and-romantic relationship conflicts) fairly, discretely, and in a timely manner partnering up with HR and other Departments.  
  • Provided proposals for remedial action based on the findings of the investigation and the submission of the completed investigation documentation.
  • Implemented weekly meetings, which only purpose was the development of new software platforms and task distribution in each office (the US, Europe, and Costa Rica).
  • Developed prevention initiatives for the first time in the company by drafting internal policies, contractual clauses, procedures, and practices that helped mitigate the impact or probability of cyber threats.
  • Coordinated with Management to ensure that all software-related contracts were handled and renewed in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. 
  • Directed on various subject matters such as corporate law, labor law, intellectual property, and free trade zone regime matterswith outside legal counsel in Costa Rica and other regions in the globe:  the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia. 
  • Prepared and reviewed NDAs, EULAs, Confidentiality Agreements, and SLAs.

  • Maintained a PoA with a limit of US $100,000.00 and executed contracts on behalf of the company up to that PoA limit.
  • Ensured that all company-contract-renewal dates were docketed, properly monitored, and renewed when necessary.
  • Coordinated the vetting process for all Costa Rican outside legal counsel.
  • Reviewed and approved all Legal Department's invoices.
  • Supported General Counsel with the Legal Department's annual budget.
