About the job:


Essential duties and job responsibilities:


  • Senior QA Engineers stay on top of industry best practices and trends and are responsible for bringing this knowledge back to the larger Engineering team.
  • You will be responsible for complex tasks and complete them despite roadblocks, grabbing others for help or insight as necessary.
  • You can break a complex project into user stories with relative ease and will work with other Engineers to ensure frequent and safe launches, especially for larger projects.
  • You will define the bugs triage process and guide bug resolution in cooperation with stakeholders across the company.
  • You will ensure that defects are prioritized appropriately, and high priority bugs are dealt with promptly, following through with incident reports and outward communication for impactful problems.
  • You are responsible for ensuring quality in projects of increasing complexity that encompass more than their own development.
  • You will participate extensively in project planning and educate others on matters of Quality.
  • You will track and regularly report on Quality metrics for one or more Product teams.
  • You will identify problems with requirements and help their team coursecorrect around these issues.

Requirements:


  • 6+ years of experience writing custom automation scripts
  • Experience scripting in JavaScript
  • At least one major skill outside of Quality planning such as monitoring, documentation, testing.
  • Identify and suggest improvements for themselves or the broader team and maintain a datadriven backlog of projects for improving Quality.
  • Identify risks in code, features, and design, and communicate these to the appropriate parties.
